ABOUT

Hi! I’m Daniel — a passionate dog trainer based in Toowoomba, Queensland, and the creator of Aussie Mantrailing and the Dogs & Deadlifts Podcast.
My journey into dog training goes beyond just teaching commands — it’s about building better relationships between dogs and their humans. I love helping pet owners and sport dog enthusiasts unlock their dogs’ full potential — both mentally and physically.
I’m a certified Mantrailing Instructor with Mantrailing Global, teaching dog owners how to harness their dog’s natural scent-tracking abilities. Mantrailing is not just for search-and-rescue dogs — it’s an exciting and enriching activity for any pet, building confidence, focus, and teamwork. Whether you want to give your dog a new purpose or simply add a fun mental workout to their routine, I’m here to guide you through the process.
My approach to dog training is simple: understand the dog in front of you. Every dog is unique, so whether you’re looking to improve your pet’s fitness, work through behavioral challenges, or explore activities like mantrailing or weight pull, I tailor each training plan to suit your dog’s needs.
Based in Toowoomba, Queensland, I work with local dog owners and offer online resources for those who want to learn more about canine fitness, scent work, and training from anywhere in the world.

To Whom It May Concern:
I have worked professionally as a trainer of handler and canine teams for more than 25year’s, the majority of which, has been in federal government focused on the specialty of canine scent detection across multiple disciplines.
I am writing to recommend the highly talented Daniel Rose who I have worked and consulted with on multiple secondments, projects and training exercises over the duration
of my working life. Daniel Rose is always presented as professional and highly knowledgeable with a wealth of operational, technical and training experience.
Daniels’ understanding of behaviour, principles of conditioning and cognitive learning are and have been fundamental to his successes in the development of both the canine and
handler collaboration. Daniels personability, extensive knowledgebase and keen eye would make him an invaluable member to your team of judges.
I highly recommend Daniel for any position or undertaking that he chooses to pursue.

Sean- Government Detection Dog Instructor
